Introduction
In 2018, the MACB CKD Task Force conducted a survey on the current practice in reporting estimated glomerular filtration rate and urine albumin. Based on the survey, the MACB CKD Task Force published recommendations on laboratory reporting of eGFR and urine albumin.
The aim
of the current audit is to assess the degree of adherence of medical laboratories to the MACB CKD Task Force published recommendations.
Survey
A simple questionnaire has been designed seeking information about the methods used, equations used for calculating eGFR, as well as reporting of eGFR. Regarding urine albumin, information on the types of samples used for measuring, units of measurement, reference interval and the terminology used are sought.
The questionnaire is in the form of multiple choice questions or simple answering questions. It might take less than 10 minutes to complete the survey.
